Media and Communications ManagerInternational Campaign to Ban Landmines - Cluster Munition Coalition (ICBL-CMC)We are seeking a new Media and Communications Manager to lead the development and implementation of the media and communications strategy supporting the advocacy goals of two campaigns and a research initiative working towards the end of the suffering caused by landmines and cluster munitions. The post holder will report directly to the Executive Director and will be pivotal in maximizing communications opportunities across the organization and in line with campaign strategies. He or she will advise senior management and work closely with the campaign teams to elaborate communications strategies, draft and edit external documents, work on press outreach and monitor coverage, evaluate impact and make appropriate use of online and social media platforms, website and contact management systems. He or she will engage with national members on media and communications plans as well as promote and facilitate their work through tools, materials and training. The post holder will also effectively work with a variety of multi-cultural stakeholders from the general public to policymakers - motivating and inspiring them.The successful candidate will already have significant experience in delivering media and communications plans and strategy for an international NGO or coalition, ideally working in human rights or disarmament issues. He or she will have good media contacts, especially internationally, and a sound experience with digital and social media. Fluency in English and excellent writing and editing skills are essential along with the ability to produce clear, concise and appealing messages and materials on tight deadlines for a variety of audiences.
