Landmine Monitor 2019 Report Launched in Geneva and Oslo

The Landmine Monitor 2019 Report was launched on 21 November in Geneva and Oslo simultaneously, in advance of the Anti-Personnel Mine Ban Convention Fourth Review Conference opening on Monday 25 November in Oslo, Norway. Landmine Monitor 2019 provides a global overview of developments in mine ban policy, use, production, trade, and stockpiling, and also includes information on contamination, clearance, casualties, victim assistance, and support for mine action, for the reporting period 2018-2019.

This year is the 21st Monitor edition, with a 20 year global overview of efforts to universalize and fully implement the 1997 Mine Ban Treaty, and more generally assess the international community’s response to the global landmine and explosive remnants of war problem.
